Pino Marro

Inhabitants and visitors gather in the main square to go together to where a tall pine tree has been chosen. This, the protagonist of the rite, is cut down and stripped of its branches then, in a group effort, dragged to the area known as Las Heras. The next day it is raised up to a vertical position amidst a party atmosphere enlivened with traditional dances and games.
