Although the exterior of the chapel is simple, within its walls it houses an architectural treasure. The original construction, dating from the 16th century, is the chancel which was extended, probably in the 17th century, adding a rectangular nave with a small round arched entrance.

Inside, a beautifully decorated granite round arch gives access to the chancel which has a magnificent octagonal Mudejar coffered ceiling formed by rafters in a hipped roof arrangement and a central panel decorated with a pine cone shaped carving. A beautiful gilded altarpiece from the 18th century houses a statue of Jesus of Nazareth and a small, dressed Virgin of Sorrows.
