Dedicated to Miguel de Cervantes, this project was a finalist in the 2021 San Pedro de Alcántara awards organised by the Caceres provincial government. It is a space which was previously occupied by a house which has been carefully restored and is an interesting place that helps visitors to get to know Descargamaría.

In addition to the park itself with its homage to Cervantes, visitors can enjoy a setting in which there are examples of the traditional architecture of the Sierra de Gata. There are stone houses with adobe and wooden framework and details such as the long, south-facing balconies covered with large eaves and the windows with side ledges used for drying food or keeping it cool.
